Harvesting Lettuce

Lettuce Harvest is in full swing. Typically I fight earwigs in the lettuce rows ...yet, not at all this year. Just fresh green, crisp lettuce.....Yum!

the slower I go...

ewwww....almost stepped on this slug bug!  You think I would learn my lesson and wear shoes while gardening but nope, it's just not possible ;-)

Actually, he was really interesting to watch as he slowly moved from dew drop to dew drop wetting his whistle.

Oh, the things you can see if only you slow down and take the time to pay attention!!!

Only the Lonely

Queen of the garden

If I had to pick just one...This Clematis would be my all time favorite bloomer!

She is not fussy at all and grows as wild and carefree as a gypsy!

This bodacious beauty has earned her title as the Queen of my garden!

Return of the Voles

After a little break last year, these PITA's are back😠

It doesn't take them long to do a lot of damage. Looks like it's time to drag out the traps again!!!!

Makes me want to pull out the shotgun and go all Elmer Fud on them...If only it was that easy to battle these little buggers!

Damn Goods

 Have you ever forgotten what variety of tomato you planted last year? Well I saved seeds from a tomato that I must have really liked because the notes on them just say "Damn Good"

So in the spirit of good gardening... we are planting a row of "Damn Goods" 😋😋
