Update!
Here is an update from our post last Fall Re-doing the flower bed.
I love how it turned out and plan on planting zinnias after the tulips are finished up with their beautiful display.

Pure Delight!
Last night's rain took it's tole on my daffodils . Poor planning on my part, directly planted under the eave's of the green house.
(Note to self*-The greenhouse may need gutters!)
I woke up this morning to see the blooms perfectly face planted in the dirt. A little blast with the garden hose, a whirlybird spin through the air to dry them out and...
They were back to "Beautiful" once again!
Now they will join us inside and we'll enjoy them for the rest of their journey.....
Pure Delight!

Pampered
At this time, the greenhouse is still unheated....Freezing temps mean that I have to pamper my tender starts. These guys get to be snug as bugs in the house while overnight temps dipped to 28 degrees last night.
Meanwhile, the cool weather starts embraced the cold and held their own in the unheated greenhouse.

Volunteers
There among the Spring weeds, hidden in plain sight, spontaneous volunteer spinach starts are beginning to pop up. I love an unexpected surprise!

No Dig!
Jen's 2016 garden challenge....
The "No dig" Method !
There is nothing I like more, than to see the garden freshly tilled and raked level at the start of every growing season.
Well, it's not happening this year!!!
We will be putting Charles Dowding's with a combination of Ruth Stout's gardening methods to the test.
So, for now... the tiller can rest easy, as we take one more step to simplify and enjoy our North Idaho Garden!

Spring Snow
Woke up to a fresh dusting of Spring Snow.
I'm thinking the tomato starts are not very impressed.
However, the Garlic is taking it all in stride!
