Return of the Voles
Nooooooooooo!
After a little break last year, these PITA's are backðŸ˜
It doesn't take them long to do a lot of damage. Looks like it's time to drag out the traps again!!!!
Makes me want to pull out the shotgun and go all Elmer Fud on them...If only it was that easy to battle these little buggers!

Damn Goods
Have you ever forgotten what variety of tomato you planted last year? Well I saved seeds from a tomato that I must have really liked because the notes on them just say "Damn Good"
So in the spirit of good gardening... we are planting a row of "Damn Goods" 😋😋

Staying ahead of the weeds...
Doesn't feel possible to stay ahead of the weeds.....We use grass clippings from the yard ( All natural, no fertilizer added) but as Summer heats up, there just isn't enough clippings to keep up.
To stay ahead of the game, I have applied organic paper mulch to help suppress and keep the weeds at bay this season.
Installation is super easy.... wetting it down, makes the paper soft enough to plant through.

Slug Bug
Ewwwwwww!
Ok, this where I totally act like a girl....Not my favorite part of gardening. These guys really gross me out!! Have you ever stepped on one barefoot in the dark? Yuck!
Found this little sneaky in the greenhouse this morning.
I can't touch them...I just can't!!!!
Scooped this one up and launched it into the chicken pen and in a matter of 2 seconds, it was gobbled up!

A little beat up!
Rain and hail have left a mark.....but still beautiful in my eyes. My favorite Red white and blue combo, Plassir Tulips with grape hyacinths planted at the base of our flagpole.
